A 10 man Cossonay team led by Captain Yateendra Sinh (Yeti) took on the Geneva International Cricket Club (GICC) at Bout du Monde, Geneva for their third league game in the SCA League 2012. Yeti won the toss and opted to bat.

The Cossonay openers Sathyanarayanan and Yeti started patiently with few big sixes to put on 30 runs in the first six overs. A double strike by GICC removed the openers each making 11 with the team score at 46 for 2 in 9.  Aftab shah and Niketh then added a 71 run 3rd wicket partnership in 14 overs before Aftab fell for a well-made 35 with the score at 117.  Arjun (18) and Gnana (2) then fell to leave Cossonay at 161 for 5 in 31 overs. A final 9 over burst by Kishore Sandu (45*) and Niketh (74) took Cossonay to 241 for 6 in their allotted 40 Overs.

The GICC chase began with two quick strikes by débutant Bhowmik Kapoor before the GICC 3rd wicket combination (Mansoor and Wasim) took the score to 103 in 25 overs.  Few quick strikes and middle order collapse reduced GICC to 144 for 7 in 32 overs.  Some tremendous hitting by Ranjith of GICC, who made 77 not out took the game with GICC requiring 15 of the last over. Bhowmik returned to bowl a very good last over with GICC falling 4 Runs short.
